CAD designed Surface Augmentation for Endocrowns with different CAD/CAM materials.

The purpose of this study is to compare and improve the different surface treatment options for endocrowns. The surface treatments most commonly used are etching the glass ceramics with hydrofluoric acid and sandblasting polycrystalline ceramics with 50?m Alumina particles. This study will utilize the CAD/CAM technology available to create a surface preparation that can be milled into the endocrown at the time of manufacturing. The aim of the study is to design and optimise the endocrown internal surface to obtain a more reliable bonded interface between the material and cement.
