The Academy of Australian and New Zealand Prosthodontists (AANZP) is proud to support dental schools in their delivery of high-quality postgraduate prosthodontic education. While all examinations are defined and governed by the universities themselves, AANZP contributes by providing experienced Fellows to participate as external examiners when invited.
These assessments—including written, clinical, and viva voce—are conducted under each institution’s academic policies and standards. AANZP acknowledges and respects the leadership of universities in all matters relating to assessment design, delivery, and decision-making.
AANZP’s role, exercised through its Standards Committee, is to provide specialist expertise that enhances the robust, university-led assessment processes. Through this collaborative approach, AANZP Fellows help:
- Strengthen academic quality and assessment integrity
- Provide external perspectives aligned with contemporary specialist practice
- Support universities in preparing future prosthodontic specialists
- Foster collegiality and strong academic–clinical partnerships across the region
The AANZP remains committed to contributing to the profession through examiner service, mentorship, and academic collaboration—reflecting the Academy’s mission to promote excellence in prosthodontics and support the next generation of specialists.
