Key Note Speaker AANZP 2020 Biennial Conference

If we look at the themes and keynotes for the past three Biennial Conferences, they had a very heavy digital slant. We therefore had a desire to move in a different direction and we came up with a wish list of keynote speakers who we thought would be engaging and of tremendous value to the meeting. We are very fortunate to have secured the services of Dr Sreenivas Koka, who has recently been inducted as Co-President of the ICP. Having worked at the Mayo clinic, rising to the Chairman of the Department of Dental Specialties from 2007-2012 and a receiving an MBA degree from MIT’s Sloan School of Management, he will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to Conference. Sree more recently relocated to San Diego and set up a Prosthodontic practice with an emphasis on removable prosthodontics. With Sree’s background we have asked him to present on a topic which is not covered during our Prosthodontic training, but which is important to the establishment and ongoing success of a specialist practice in an ever increasing competitive market with pressures from many external factors. Sree’s main two presentations will cover: Practice management for the 21st Century, which we have asked him to tailor to the Australian and New Zealand Market.

Sree has also kindly offered to run a half day workshop on the Wednesday afternoon before the conference on: How to give a world class presentation which is aimed at bringing your presentations up to an international standard. This workshop should be extremely valuable for our younger members and our postgraduate students.
